ATTENTION ALL UNETHICAL MARYLAND REAL ESTATE INVESTORS!

If you are an investor, my hope is that you have been operating ethically.
In our investment group, Maryland Real Estate Secrets with Lloyd Irvin and Vicki Irvin, we pride ourselves on not associating with anyone who does bad or illegal business. Being established business people in the community, our names and reputations mean more to us than anything.

The independent investors in our group are a great bunch of people and we are proud of the businesses they have created for themselves. We love to get together and network and share ideas, so anyone who has ever operated in an unethical way, we have not allowed access to our networking group.

But I am happy to say that out of hundreds of students, we have had to only kick a
few bad apples out.

But what disturbs me the most are the people who go out and steal equity from innocent homeowners!

Unfortunately, so many people are in foreclosure all across the country and slimy investors are there to take advantage of them. Here is how the scam works:

They get these homeowners to sign over the deed to their house with promises to allow them to stay in the home as a renter and the option to buy the home back once they get back on their feet. But guess what? They never plan to let them get the home back and all the time they are trying to sell the home to someone else at which point the homeowner gets kicked out and they have lost their equity and home. I don’t see how these shady investors even sleep at night.

I am so happy the Foreclosure Rescue Law was enacted to protect people.

At Maryland Real Estate Secrets, we teach our students to stay away from people wanting to sell their home that are in foreclosure. While many investors have every intention on helping people who are losing their home, it is the best practice to not get involved. Our power team attorney tells investors the exact same thing.

As investors you have the opportunity to make money in real estate while helping out someone who wishes to sell their home without the use of a realtor. So we are always looking for win/win solutions! And that is a HUGE help to people who have been unable to sell their home with a realtor due to the market.

I’m sitting here in LA for the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Pan American Games this weekend. Everyone is here in quest of becoming a Pan American Champion. Well at least some of them are, others are just here to compete, some are here for the experience but you can tell the competitors that are here to try to win. You can see it in their eyes. They are determined. They are focused. And they are here to try to reach their goals.

Speaking about goals, I believe that most of us set our goals to low in life, have a limited belief mentality and without someone constantly around you to push you out of that limited belief mentality, you’re probably going to be stuck in it.

Let’s use me for an example. In 1999 I had a story written about me in the Worlds largest GJJ magazine called, “Gracie Magazine”. Talk about being excited, the story was about this tough American that came to brazil and fought, that was the event that I became the first non brazilian to defeat a BJJ Black Belt in Brazil.

Well fast forward a few years, I’ve become quite known in the business World, I’ve had interviews done on me, I’ve been featured in stories, but when I made it on the front cover of The Millionaire Blueprints magazine with Famous Amos, they talked about how successful our Real Estate Investing Program is, they talked about my martial arts school and my internet marketing business. On top of that, it was ‘really’ cool to be on the cover with Famous Amos, as a kid I grew up eating his cookies.

Well why was I thinking so small? My thoughts became much bigger when a friend named Dominique made a mistake when introducing me at a seminar one time. In her introduction she said something to the effect of, “Lloyd Irvin has been featured on the front cover of Fortune magazine” and went on. When she told me that she messed up and had said “Fortune Magazine” instead of “Millionaire Blueprints”, it hit me, why couldn’t I be on the front cover of Fortune magazine?

Although I don’t even read fortune magazine, I know that they talk about “BIG BUSINESS”like fortune 500 companies and on the business side of the World I work a lot in the internet marketing side of things for small to medium sized businesses. I help businesses get more business through the using online and offline medias. I’m currently working an a HUGE project to help “Cosmetic Dentist” throughout the World generate more clients through online portals.

But let me get back to my point here. Why didn’t I ever even consider the thought of one day being on the cover of “Fortune Magazine”? It was because of I didn’t think it possible. A few years ago I wouldn’t have thought being on the front cover of “Millionaire Blueprints” a possibility either.

You have to set your goals as “High As Possible” as long as they are realistic. When I was close to graduating from Bowie State University I had set a goal to get a job making at least $35,000 a year. Imagine that, now I can make that in a single day sometimes. We’ve had real estate students that have made more than that on a single deal, students that make that in a single month, and I’m sure they would’ve never thought it possible until we taught them how to become a successful real estate investors.

Now I see the goal people set is wanting to reach making “Six Figures”. Don’t get me wrong, making “Six Figures” is nothing to laugh at. But when you learn how to invest in Real Estate and how to create Wealth in Real Estate your mind opens to a new dimension. Your goal is to model successful people, and the majority of Wealthy people throughout the World gained their Wealth through Real Estate investing or got it some other way and put their money back into Real Estate.

And as I say everywhere we go, you can make a lot of money in real estate ethically and unethically. But if you so choose to go down the ‘unethical”route you’ll end up going to jail, and no amount of money is worth that. That’s why we work so hard to screen our students, we don’t want to work with ‘any’ unethical people, in any shape fashion or form.

And if an ‘unethical’ person some how sneaked through our ’screening process’ and we found out about it, we would cut them off quicker than ‘rain coming down in a rain storm’.

As I was taking my son to school this morning
listening to ‘talk radio’ I heard it again,
the same ole lies the news stations and tv
stations are trying to get everyone to believe.

That it’s not a good time to invest in Real Estate.

What a bunch of crock!

If it’s such a bad market, why are our students
getting houses at GREAT deals, why did Marshall
Thompson just make $13,500 just last week? Why
did Raymond Wright just get a deal with over
$151,000 in equity in Washington DC?

Well you get the point, but the point is.

There are no BAD MARKETS, just DIFFERENT MARKETS!

until I’m blue in the face but this is what I decide

‘Treasury chief Henry Paulson calls for aggressive aid’

One part said

“In a speech offering the Bush administration’s strongest comments on the housing slump so far, Paulson told a Georgetown University law school audience that the government and lenders must move forcefully to aid MILLIONS of homeowners whose adjustable-rate subprime mortgages will reset to higher levels in the next 18 months”

“Paulson added that the problems go beyond subprime loans, which are higher-priced loans aimed at those with poor credit. Delinquencies are rising among borrowers with conventional mortgages. Further, troubled loans are spread around the country, making it hard to handle the problem”

“The housing decline is still unfolding, and I view it as the most significant current risk to our economy” Paulson said.

Now you must understand that the people in charge of all of this knew from the beginning what would happen when they allowed these FUNKY loans to be approved. When they targeted the black community with subprime loans and giving up MILLION DOLLAR homes for $2700 a month with an ARM.

These people should be put in JAIL.

Man, oh man, I have been sooooo out of pocket lately! Lloyd and I are involved in some major national projects and my life (as usual) has been turned upside down!

What is it that you need to work on that will help you take a small step towards getting to the next level? Seems like everyone on my staff is working on something different, something personal to get them closer to their goals. One of the mentors for investment program Marshall is working hard on perfecting his craft. Marshall is making serious money because he is finally LISTENING. Marshall had to learn to be quiet and listen and now that he has done that, he sees the change.

As humans we are always flawed, but as long as we work hard everyday on getting better that is all that counts. And I mean REALLY trying…not trying hard to deceive people or ourselves into THINKING we are doing things right, I mean REALLY trying.

Right now my husband and I have blessed so many people with great opportunities and it is coming back to us 10 fold. That is a GREAT feeling and what people are supposed to do. I have a HUGE list of subscribers on my real estate investing lists and I am AMAZED at how many people write to me to let me know how something I have said or done has impacted their life. I find that the majority of my audience all have one thing in common and that is to HELP others and give back. And that is refreshing! SO many people want to get involved in real estate investing , but not just for themselves, but rather to put themselves in position to help others. And that is admirable. The better position you are in, the more you are able to help somebody else.

I am motivated everyday by watching my husband be a friend, mentor and advisor to so many people. He is open and caring to a fault sometimes, but he doesn’t care. For every few people who take advantage of his kindness, there are 5 more who prosper and appreciate him for that. And those are the only people he worries about. I get defensive when someone tries to use my husband. I get all upset and he just laughs and says all people will eventually be accountable for their actions. And he is right every single time. Each time someone wrongs my husband Lloyd, some MAJOR opportunity comes his way. Sometimes the opportunities are so major that I wish someone would wrong me too!!! LOL

My point is, no matter what happens, focus on reaching a small goal and treating other people well. Never stop your kindness for bad apples, because someone else needs you very much!!!
